Wigan & Tyldesley Summer Gala
Twenty two of our swimmers mainly from A Squad competed last weekend at Wigan & Tyldesley's Level 3 Gala. Due to the club competing at the Llandudno Sprint Gala in early July swimmers were advised just to enter 200m IM, 200m Free and 200m of their best form stroke, butterfly, Back or Breast. Over the two days of competition our swimmers swam in 89 races and produced 44 personal best times with most of the other times swam being on their previous personal best times. So overall a successful and enjoyable gala during which our swimmers behaviour was exemplary and they were a pleasure to be on poolside with. Out of all the clubs who entered and registered a single point we finished 12th out of 26 teams.
We did have a number of swimmers who won a medal, they were:
Lily Anna Ireland - Gold 200m Butterfly, Silver 200m IM and Bronze 200m Free and 50m Breast. (pic 1)

Special mentions also to Charlotte McGorry who swam in three races, the 200m IM improving her pb by a massive 26 seconds, 200m Breast improving her pb by 13 seconds and the 100m Breast in which she improved her pb by 3 seconds and Phoebe Curry who swam in six races and produced five pbs.
