LLandudno Swim Camp - what a week!!!

A very worthwhile and enjoyable five days was had by the twenty four swimmers, three coaches and two chaperones at this years swim camp. Over the seven sessions the swimmers in the top lane swam 21,350m (854 lengths), lane 2 & 3 swam 20,950m (838 lengths), and lane 4 swam 17,150m (686 lengths) with all swimmers completing every length for a third camp running. One of the sessions was a test set were the swimmers had to swim four 200m freestyle swims at best effort trying to hold their time on all four swims and one session was a fun gala which the swimmers throughly enjoyed.          

At the end of the week we awarded those swimmers who excelled each day in the pool along with a girl and boy swimmer of the week.
This year's awards went to;
Monday - Sydney King & Ben Shiels
Tuesday - Connie Urumov & Alex Keegan
Wednesday - Rebecca Collier & Eric Byrne
Thursday - Ruby Owens & Dylan Jess

The traditional last night quiz was won for the first time by Michael Sutcliffe,  his team being Criostai Hayden Callen, Gracie Urumov, Jodie Collier, Ben Shiels, Layla Prince & Sydney King
However the best award the coaches and chaperones gave was a big chocolate bar for every swimmer for their exemplary behaviour.
The swimmers have all said they have had a great time and will be back next year, apart from Criostai & Jason Rawlins as university beckons for them.
